This job grew out of a cover illustration I did for a StarNine Technologies brochure that promoted the new version of their WebSTAR web server software for the Macintosh. The client liked the cover illustration so much that they asked me do the front of their WebSTAR packaging, but the company that handled their package designs didn't want to work with someone else's design, and StarNine took the route of least resistance and went with their art instead. Here are some of the other variations I did for them before they pulled the plug on the project:
