Quick, agile, and eerily alert
This wicked-looking creature showed up on the outside of our kitchen window one night in early September, and I ran out and corralled it. Its head was very mobile, and it would swivel around in a way that was very disconcerting; it seemed to be calculting how best to get at you.
Linnea has taken a real interest in all the creatures I've been capturing, and happily exclaims "Bug! Bug!" whenever she sees one. While I'm glad she's not squeamish, I'm going to have to make sure she understands that it's not safe to grab any old insect that comes your way.
